Invite codes and /join links that do not send email

Add a person on Team, copy the invite code or /join link, and send the notice from your own mail. VisibleHours does not email anyone.

Operations adds a person on Team, copies an invite code or a /join link, and sends the employee notice from their own mail. The employee pastes the code into unsigned VisibleHours-Setup.exe, or opens the /join page. VisibleHours does not send email — not the invite, the notice, or a reminder. The preview on Team is copy-only. There is no Send.

Public pages are /join and /download. The click-through is the signed-in invite tutorial. After you sign in, Ask VisibleHours “invite teammate”, “invite code”, “create invite”, or “open invites” opens Team. Ask “invite link”, “join with code”, or “open join” opens /join. Ask “invite tutorial”, “how to invite a teammate”, “how to join”, or “join code tutorial” opens Help. Ask “invite an employee”, “please invite my team for me”, or “send invite emails” is refused. Public Search “invite link” / “join with code” stays on /join; “invite tutorial” / “how to join” stays on /join; “invite teammate” stays on /download — it will not create a person.

Copy the code, send the notice yourself

  1. Sign in and open Team. Add a teammate.
  2. Copy the invite code, or copy the /join link. Those are two different copy buttons.
  3. Send the written notice from your own mail before anyone runs Setup.exe. Preview email on Team is a draft you copy — VisibleHours will not mail it.
  4. They open /join or /download, run unsigned Setup.exe past SmartScreen, and paste the code. Leave the tray icon visible.
  5. If a code was shared by mistake, regenerate it on Team. The old code stops working. Installed trays keep their API key.

Codes do not expire on a timer. Honesty: they stay valid until you regenerate them or the person is inactive. That paste is device pairing — Settings does not pair a PC. Company Windows PCs only. There is no Mac agent in this slice.

What this is not

  • Not outreach. VisibleHours does not email the invite or the notice.
  • Not a remote install queue. You still hand someone Setup.exe and a code.
  • Not a manager password reset. Those failures stay on the sign-in tutorial.
  • Not a live map. /join does not log GPS.
