Client codes, projects, and hour allocation
VisibleHours records the day on the company Windows PC. Signed-in Operations then put those hours on a client code, a project, and an optional task so payroll and a client see the same assignment. Allocations feed the Monday–Sunday draft on Timesheets. Nothing about this hides the tray icon.
This is not a full project management suite, not Gantt charts, not a Jira clone, not an Asana clone, not billing automation, and not billing invoices. There is no issue tracker and no competitor PM clone. Operations creates the codes and stamps hours — create only, no edit or archive on that screen. Employees do not have a self-serve project editor. Seats stay $7 / seat, and invoices are not generated from an allocation. Slack, Jira, and Asana OAuth live on Integrations. This page does not start checkout.
Public Search “what are client codes”, “projects”, “open projects”, “client codes”, “allocations”, “how to set up projects”, or “projects tutorial” stays here. It will not allocate hours for you. After you sign in, Ask “projects” or “open projects” opens Projects; “allocate hours” or “allocations” opens /projects#allocate; “client codes” opens /projects#clients; “add a project” opens /projects#project-codes; “add a task” opens /projects#tasks; “how to set up projects” or “projects tutorial” opens Help. Ask “full project management suite”, “Gantt charts”, “Jira clone”, “Asana clone”, or “billing invoices” is refused.
- Create a client with a short code (example: FIELD).
- Add a project under that client, then optional tasks.
- Allocate hours for a person and a work date.
- Compare tracked time from the agent with allocated time you assigned. Unallocated time is still on the timeline.
- Build the Monday–Sunday draft on Timesheets. An empty date is not a timesheet and is not in any CSV.
What this is not
- Not a hidden tracker. The tray stays visible.
- Not a full project management suite. Ask “full project management suite” is refused.
- Not Gantt charts. Ask “Gantt charts” is refused.
- Not a Jira clone or an Asana clone. Slack, Jira, and Asana OAuth live on Integrations — they do not turn Projects into an issue tracker. Ask “connect asana” stays on Integrations.
- Not billing invoices. Ask “billing invoices” is refused. Seats stay $7 / seat. This page does not start checkout.
- Timesheet approval is a separate screen — see Timesheets. Allocations feed that draft; they do not auto-pay or export payroll CSV.
- Not a client-file uploader. Activity comes from the Windows agent.
- Public search will not allocate hours for you. Sign in and open Projects.
Public guide: From tracked hours to a payroll CSV. Signed-in steps: projects tutorial. Seats stay $7 / seat on Pricing — this page does not start checkout.
