App and URL rules that leave idle as idle

The Windows tray already records the foreground app and, when Windows exposes it, the browser domain. Productivity rules do not add a second tracker. They stamp minutes you already have: Outlook can be productive, youtube.com can be unproductive. Idle stays idle. Unmatched time stays unclassified. The tray icon does not change.

Write the rule, leave idle alone

1. Add a URL rule for a domain, or an app rule for a window name.
2. Choose productive or unproductive. You write the label — VisibleHours does not guess.
3. URL wins when a domain was captured. Longer patterns win ties.
4. Open a person’s timeline. Each block shows Productive, Unproductive, Unclassified, or Idle.

Idle minutes stay idle. Rules never reclassify a pause as unproductive. That is the point: a coffee break is not a score problem, and it is not a hidden filter.

What a rule does not do

• Not a web filter. It does not block a site or close an app.
• Not a keylogger. It uses the app name and domain already on the timeline.
• Not a hidden score. Employees still see pause and quit on the tray.
• Not a daily percentage. That lives on productivity scores after the labels exist.

Rules stay inside one organization. Another org cannot see or edit them. Screenshots and retention stay on Settings. Send the employee notice before the first capture — rules do not replace that disclosure.
